Just wondering because I think it'd be intresting to see how people control the energy that 170 BPM brings.
Cheers all.

Whatever the BPM...Mortal wrote:its not specific to a single bpm...Trainrek wrote:174bpm*
If Drumstep is non-existent, why do you say 174 BPM? That's a characteristic... for a genre... oh... yeah, 'Drumstep' perhaps?Trainrek wrote:Drumstep is non-existent so I can make up any tempo I like.
'Drumstep' is a really lame word the bro's applied to a long standing genre of DnB when they filth'd it up... when you said chill drumstep, I lol'd, and thought 'autonomal/minimal dnb???'Filthzilla wrote:If Drumstep is non-existent, why do you say 174 BPM? I think a lot of people have accepted the term 'Drumstep' [Like it or not] as the name generally given to 'HALF TIME DNB'.
Whatever BPM it is...
Whatever it's called...
The timbre of the tracks are often quite obviously 'Filthy/Dirty/Brostep' or 'Ambient/Chill' etc...
And thus far I haven't heard any 'Drumstep'/Half-time D&B tracks that aren't more towards the filthier stuff.
It's really simple what I'm asking, and it's clearly not a 'Sub Genre.'/'What shall we call half time D&B?'/'Is Drumstep a good name?' question.

Here's one I've found which is alright.. I'm sure there's better stuff lurking though.
You need to edit your post, make a proper youtube link using the video button and make a big red square all around to make sure nobody's going to miss this one. Shit is epic!Majin wrote:Whatever it's called I think this is what you're looking for:
