Brostep?

Post by Synyster_Step » Mon Feb 28, 2011 3:49 pm

I might be confused, but is Dubba Jonny's song "A Brief Introduction on Dubstep Production" a brostep song? If not, what kind of dubstep is it? I want my music (when I make it) to have the filthiness that's in the track.

See post count...

I obviously don't know what I'm talking about, which is why I asked a question about it. You guys could either help me out by wasting maybe a half of a calorie by typing an answer out, or be the typical asshats found on forums.

No one should use that dubba jonny track, unless you want to pigeon hole yourself (like many)

Worst 'tutorial' ever

I kinda knew that. I think a better question would have been, "What's the style of dubstep that's expressed in the drop of the song?" I just really dig the drop.

Really original if you want to do something exactly like every other YouTube video.

Lol. It figures that the song that I like the most seems to be pretty much universally hated. The only thing I like about the song is the drop. What style of dubstep is the drop? Nobody answered that question, haha.

Yeah, I suppose I'm just going to label my stuff as dubstep. I just think there should be some differentiation between slower tracks like Sludge (Ed Solo & The Skool of Thought) or Headcase (Pantyraid) and faster tracks like Innocence (Nero) and Garbage (Numbernin6).
