lol because most people on DSF are overly offensive about everything...so you kinda gotta put up a brick wall immediately explaining that you don't want to make dubstep just because it's the hot new shit. I am 20 years old...have been listening to music since I was 5 (Bob Dylan, Led Zeppelin), have been playing musical instruments since I was 7 (guitar-12 years, piano-5 years, drums-3 years) and have been listening to electronic music since I was 16...now I am in a whole new spectrum of using a computer to make music...and sadly on here you have to assert yourself and prove that you at least know a little bit of what you are talking about so people don't just shit on you. I apologize for my "musical" stupidity.

Wrong, notice how the other guy who joined around the same time as you but came asking polite questions didn't get any flaming at all?

You clearly have NO idea what you're talking about so why pretend like you do? We are much more likely to take you seriously if you're honest and actually listen to our advice.

Saying you're not 'one of these kids wanting to be the next Rusko' or whatever it was and then asking us how to make brutal electro is like saying "I don't want to buy a Peugeot...but could you tell me somewhere I could find a 206?"

only thing worse than trolls and bandwagoner-noobs, is folks who are immediately :corntard: over-defensive, and overshare the rest of their musical background when, truthfully, no one gives a shit about it cuz it ain't relevant or anything to boast about.

op if u cant make the sound u want, then practice, massives no magical synth that will get u the exact sound u want (expect if u use the presets, ofcourse) but really, just see it the vsts/synths as instruments themselves, i read u spent years playing various instruments, now, this is an instrument aswell so get practicing!! noone can give u the knowledge about synths.. really the only path is to just read everything u can about it learn as much as possible and just practice ALL DAY ERRYDAY

Looks like I gotta save up to buy Massive, is it a good synth? I always see tutorials on youtube that are like "MASSIVE DUBSTEP TUTORIAL TO MAKE YOU SOUND EXACTLY LIKE DATSIK!!!!" and I'm like dude...I don't want to sound like Datsik, I want to sound like me.
no DAW comes with Massive standard ahaha (except for Komplete obviously because it is by NI). and massive is $200 and is an amazing synth. buy it

What he said

Just keep practicing and find your own sound, trying to emulate the pros sounds won't help alot in the long run. I got better at making synths by doing tons of tutorials so I could fully understand how to use the program and I just messed around, day by day building a bit of knowledge each time.

Also remember that the professional sounds you hear are rarely just the direct synth, the character of a sound is made up of work within the DAW you use,the chain of effects, eqing, frequency splitting,re-sampling,automation,etc. This is the main reason nobody is giving you a direct answer, you will probaly never get the exact sounds of the pros sounds(minus scareware, hahaha) so your better off just developing your own style.

What this guy said...also buy Massive...its a good program you can get some pretty decent sounds out of it. Of course there is some additional processing involved depending on your taste, but yeah its all about watching tutorials and experimenting yourself.

To be honest I've never heard the tune before but assumed it was a heavily processed and resampled, original sounding wobble.
Ofcourse you didn't listen to it, you're one of these knee-jerk posters who blows the ole' "to be honest mate you need to work hard everyday..."
