[FEEDBACK] Shells of Ghost

Post by AitotheS » Wed Mar 02, 2011 2:07 pm

Made this yesterday. I usually make hip-hop, but I've been interested in dubstep for awhile now. Any constructive feedback is appreciated, and will be returned!

the kick drums sticks out in the mix, i'd suggest making it lower, or even trying another sample, i don't think it fits with the track as is

also i think the track could easily be one minute shorter, or you should add other elements to keep it interesting throughout

just my 2cents

I understand about the kick. I changed it from what it originally was because it was getting swallowed up by the bass

I agree the kick is a bit hollow and thuddy. I would say try layering two kick drums and EQ them in higher frequencies. Vengeance kits always have some solid kicks and snares. Also the wobble kinda gets lost in the mix. I think it could use some tweaking. Otherwise pretty nice tune and a solid listen.
