Aardvarck & Kubus - Gloom [EAT022]

- vinyl & digital release out now -

Aardvarck comes with 'Gloom', an offshoot of his highly successful 'Bloom' imprint.
'Gloom' is the second split effort between Aardvarck and Dutch beatmaster Kubus (Opgezwolle, Top Notch). It features Aardvarck on an oldschool techno vibe with deep and greasy beats plus his signature style breaks. On the flipside Kubus delivers three insanely loud and bass heavy bangers.
Limited white label!

Reviews:

Fact Magazine: “Aardvarck’s contributions sound like they’re treading slurry. They’re ugly and horrible, in the most potent kind of sense; the same way that the gloop incarnations of Zomby’s Hyperdub EP were.“

Textura Magazine: "The level of imagination and invention in Kivits ' tracks is phenomenal, with each a fireball of forward-thinking dubstep artistry that evades easy linguistic capture: a sputtering swirl of smears and low-end bass bump, “Wall E Synth” thumps and clatters for three glorious minutes...."

Boomkat (Recommended Release): “The Pig playing tricky games with the Hip Hop styles of his recent Eat Concrete releases and Kubus crushing industrial strength beats into an agitated, rowdy tempered fusion of dubstep and the roughest electronic HipHop. “

K-Mag Bass Music: “Surprising yet excellent as always.”

Cyclic Defrost Magazine: “turns up the darkness a few notches whilst still maintaining the funk”

DJ Take (Alpha Pup / Eat Concrete): “Dark, Minimal, Head Nodder business at its best from one of Hollands finest! “

Jay Scarlett (Beat Dimensions): “Eat Concrete continue with the sonic assault”

Fulgeance (Musique Large): “I like it, especially ‘Zonder Baan’ by Kubus!”

Caural (Mush Records / Plug Research): “This Kubus is nasty! I like it!”

DJ Kid Kameleon
(San Francisco): “Aardvarck is as insanely awesome as ever!”
