just a sample with a lot of top end click, kinda whats popular in heavy metal right now because guitars and basses are tuning lower and lower and there needs to be a way for the kick to cut through. throw it through some parallel distortion and maybe a little parallel compression. or just sample a kick from any metal band that put out an album in the last 5 years.

Yes, you should never use snares in Dubstep.

I didnt mean to just sample it and use it outright, you would still need to process it. the suggestion of sampling was just a quick way to get some good sounding top end kick sounds without searching through a ton of random samples that you would probably end up having to EQ the hell out of anyway.

Just sounds like an organic kick drum sample? (as opposed to a 909, or whatever) with some reverb on it

Unless you use FL's Fruit kick or another drum synth, pretty much any kick you use will be a sample
Do you say zerbaman? Or do you say zebraman?
