Advice Needed on buying a bedroom mixer

Post by icanicant » Thu Mar 10, 2011 10:11 am

So the time has come for me to purchase a mixer for my decks as my mate is selfishly taking his with him when he moves. Been having a look around on google and I cant seem to find any good sites that inform me much about them and comparisons between them so was hoping some of the heads that know would give me some advice.

So was wondering if anyone could recommend me a good 2/3 channel mixer.

Budget up to around 200 quid although less would obviously be nice I dont want to get something completely cheap and crap that breaks in a few months.

Also are some brands of mixers more reliable than others?

Cheers for the help

Numark M4 mixer, cheap and cheerful :)
Had mine for a while now, still works like a beauty.
3 channels and a mic channel.
Will get the job done for what you got going mate!

check out the vestax vmc004. Cheap, durable, reliable. 4 channels for about $300, which is about 185 pounds!

Xone 22. Better than any shitty Numark/Behringer/Gemini. 2 channel, top sound quality, top filters, top eq's. £250. Or a used Xone 32, you can find them for around £200 on eBay.

Behringer DDM4000. 4 channel, 90% of the functions are midi assignable, and its cheap. I've had mine for about 2 years now using it at home and playing out and I haven't had any issues.
