You are my hero!
My mate was hosting at a Get Darker night and this sketchy woman comes up to him and says "can you get them to play some house?", "I'm sorry, no." he says. "Pllllleeeease" she says, mustering as much female charm as possible. "This is a Dubstep night! There is no house" He replied dejected. "What's Dubstep" came the reply.

"No we do not have any contemporary music. This is a dubstep night, so please do one!"

In the last two weeks, I have had two bookings. One was for a small birthday party in a local bar... played some dancehall, hip hop, before moving to dubstep/garage/grime later on.... the other was for a large music fashion dance show afterparty at a club in town (which did have a funktion one). I only really got asked because we had done a lot of tracks for the show.
Never in a good few years have I had so many shocking requests
Rihanna
Lady Gaga
Beyonce
Britney
Eugh.

Haha, I'll have to start using "I don't have any good music"!
As to the worst req.. probably when a girl brought a cd with some crap on, asked me to play it because it was her friends birthday. And also to stop the music so that she could sing happy birthday on the mic.
Moultz wrote:kind of flipping the thread on its head.
Whats the best request youve had? and did you play it?
Last time I played at our monthly night a guy came up and requested plasticman - sandstorm. It was in the bag, I played it
