FUCKING THIS! I always tell people that say they don't like dubstep that they havent even heard dubstep until they've heard it live on good speakers.illandnatti wrote: Also the fact the the majority of the scene (especially in the early years) had basslines that the majority of speakers can't even reproduce properly. Comparing the effect of pre-recorded dubstep tunes in your bedroom to a large system is an eye opening experience. I like it that you haven't really heard dubstep unless you've heard it on a big system. Dubstep may be the only genre of electronic music that can really do that.

I'd say the vibes when a DJ knows how to connect with the audience, often at the start of the night. I remember at about midnight when 2000F was playing in Denmark in December there was a vibe of total unity. It's one of the best feelings to have been a part of. And i gotta say that this is only possible to achieve through deep and weighty dubstep.

My favorite part is when the DJ does the build up build up build up then Boom.......that heavy treble drops and the crowd goes crazy! the bass is ok too I guess, but I'm mostly about the treble.
