Re: Could Consciousness Be A Dimension?
Haha it could just be a coincidence, but then the whole universe is full of them because it's so inter-related. Life is a self-replicating organism but is made of the universe... How do rocks become sentient? There was something in new scientist where a research group were trying to mimic life-like reactions that sustain themselves

This behaviour is predicted by the fractal's property of self-similarity, but it's still amazing to see it. I like your quantum consciousness theory as well, but I'm a bit unsure on some parts, I'll have to look some more into it.LACE wrote:Yeah, I mean that's ridiculous for them to give you looks, everything stems from each other..be it science, art, humanity, the stars...
I can see how it can go over most people's heads because these ''unrelated'' subjects explain things in such different ways. I think Quantum Mechanics being a language of hard mathematics is enough to deter people from using that resource in other disciplinaries.![]()
But it's necessary in order to find a well rounded answer in these theoretical cases. I studied Astronomy in Uni, and there was no way I could truly understand and explain my research without knowledge in geology and physics, QM, statistics, chemistry and even psychology. Have you seen this?
All the same we are..

Fractals occur naturally (tree branches, snowflakes), and because to the properties of a fractal require self-similarity down to its smallest parts, this predicts that the most fundamental particle in the universe should be a fractal. A quantum string has already been calculated (not proven, proof would be the universal equation that ties universal physics to pure maths) to be a fractal with a Hausdorff dimension of 3.

Furthermore the recent solution of partition numbers has found that defining the entire integer set (as the partition set is a definition of our integer system), spawns a fractal.

I'm just saying that this picture showing similarity between a braincell and the universe's structure is nothing that shouldn't be expected, because it is also predicted by the fractal's property of self-similarity.

This theory about the location of our consciousness in a quantum phase-shift reality is far less conventional than anything I've said, but it does sound interesting. Have you got any articles or anything expanding on this theory?

how do they make this:

nvm, i just saw you wrote 'kirlian' and i google it.

A developing technology in photographing auras, energy fields ect. has great potential yet isn't taken that serious..
Just happens to look good

Re: Could Consciousness Be A Dimension?
Whats the point of trying to talk about it? Because we cant realy talk about it can we.
It makes me think where would everyone get if we did talk about it. I supose thats the point of not talking about tho.

We can still work with it though. The Dao De Jing deals with this topic in a very roundabout way but it might be the only way of dealing with it, the Stephen Addiss and Stanley Lombardo is a very accurate translation rather than interpretation apparently (I bought it on the basis of merit from referenced academic work by other authors, anyway).x-ecutive wrote:Whats the point of trying to talk about it? Re: Could Consciousness Be A Dimension?
considering consciousness is one of the few things that science has yet to define, i'd like you to please refrain from comments such as thiskaiori breathe wrote:knell wrote:

unless of course you're a brilliant scientist yourself and plan on winning a Nobel Prize with a ground-breaking paper that you've crafted from a decade of peer-reviewed research.... then by all means feel free to mock me... but considering you choose to communicate with a meme, i'm going to take a wild guess that you're far from that
