Who else's go to spectrum analyzer is serato??

Post by sketchyderek » Thu Mar 10, 2011 5:45 am

I mean, it isn't real time,
but nothing helps me see what I need to change other than exporting a track and throwing it into scratch live.

I wish serato and ableton collaborated on a spectrum analyzer plugin.. something included in the bridge and what not..

I do this all the time. Not just to see frequency content but for dynamics as well. :W:

thing with serato is prolly related to the fact that u use it so often...

if i spent hours staring at my fav tunes on an analyser.. id know right away what's wrong with mine...

also,

since serato is not real time it kinda summarizes the track... and almost lets u know what type of track it is at a glance... the colors and shapes let u see right away, and compare... its kindof a different, not better, not worse, thing then a real time analyser... i find it as useful if u ask me..

Oooohhh wait are you guys talking about waveform viewing?

http://bram.smartelectronix.com/plugins.php?id=4

Smexoscope, when used as a normal vst mixer effect, displays a view of the waveform of whatever sound is being played through it, in real time.
