Yeah, trying being the key word here, not succeeding, correct?

i run no-scripts and adblock and all the goodness that the mods/peoples here have recommended to keep forum bots off my pc, just curious if those firefox notifications are a sign of it failing or succeeding...

If its winning Im gettin the fuck off this board tonight lol, i need this PC healthy.

I'm running Sophos and I'm having no problems.

Chrome is showing "The java 6 plug-in is blocked because it is out of date", but no viruses etc yet.

its trying to launch somthing through java

if you have an older version of java, certain virus use security holes to convince java its a legitimate part of the website, when in reality its gonna puke all over your hard drive.

best precaution, alongside your spyware/AV, is too keep things like java, flash etc up to date, as theyre pretty hot on fixing the holes.

Told ya.

If you don't have a good AV, don't open Java console if you're on the website.

As AVG can catch this no problems, the chances are this thing is really old, and has exploited a gap in the old forum software.

I got the same , if you're using mozilla install the no script plugin , that will stop it https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefo ... /noscript/
and if you do pick it up its very easy to remove is you boot into safe mode and run malwarebytes http://www.malwarebytes.org/

I have no problems at all due to the above 'no-script' plug-in. Been running it for months and sure enough, co.cc (as in the URL provided in the previous page) is blocked.

i think i might have a virus too, until i restarted my PC was painfully slow, i couldn't open anything new (no new tabs in firefox, no programs or folders in explorer) and when i tried clicking my antivir-icon it said "double click failed", taskmanager couldnt be opened either.

i want my mac back!

This one was bad. Avast boot scan didn't get it

I had to resort to a system restore. Then hitman pro which still picked up shit after the system restore.

What it did was change my desktop picture to some writing about history of what's been done on the computer and spyware. It then told me there was problems and my antivirus programs were infected. I couldn't open them or many other programs. A fake antivirus program would then come up asking me to buy it.
