agreed... i dont really think of this as dubstep thus it doesnt upset me. It's just more like electro house with the simple dubstep 140bpm beat.

2- in matter of taste, it is not too complicated, he does not have one. his "music" is one of the cheesiest and vulgar thing ever produced.
3- he is a fantastic opportunist and utterly marketing user using sounds from others from the real dubstep and drum&bass underground scene ( he tried electro then dubstep and tomorrow rumba for sure if he does not succeed... ) showbusiness skill: 1 spontaneity: zero.
4- skrillex fans have been identified like having a negative I.Q. (and a knowledge of music and art as long and deep as a suicidal mosquito's life)
5- he is an impostor because he's cynically "wear" the tag of "electronic music artist" whereas he is an ex-rock 'n'roll loser who know and represent absolutely nothing of the electronic culture, more he is actually the opposite...
6- skrillex fans make their best to act and to think its cool to jump and mosh like if mosh-pit was not a 30 years ago rock'n roll thing..
7- due to his sell out attitude he's killing slowly but surely dubstep innovations and innovators, making look dubstep like another name for drum&bass...

exactly, having a background in any type of music other than dubstep doesn't make your love of dubstep any less valid,i used to play drums in a death metal band ffs but it doesn't mean i cant enjoy going to DMZ

the thing that made dubstep so great to begin with was the fact that it had so many influences, skrillex makes music that appeals to him and references his influences, i personally dont enjoy it but a lot of people do

i get more annoyed with his fans than skrillex himself because they dont seem to want to put the time in and actually learn about dubstep further than whats on ukf dubstep, its when skrillex (or any other "brostep" producers') fans say things like "wtf, this isnt dubstep, where are the filthy wobz?" about a mala tune or something that i get annoyed, but that isnt skrillex's fault, im sure he probably listens to a fair amount of the older stuff and knows the history, you cant really blame him for his fans willful ignorance
