Akai MPK mini > CC, PC configuration
Hey guys,
I did a lot of searching and came up dry here so I'm comin here for help. I have an Akai MPK mini, this is my first MIDI controller and like a dope I opened the Akai MPK editor app thing and I think I zero'd out all the CC, PC, and note #'s on my pads. I had before this used the pads in Reason 5, now it doesn't respond to the pads at all. It also eff'ed up my knobs, but I was able to figure out how to fix those. FL Studio 9 recognizes the pads when they are tapped (although I do not know if it is playing the same notes as it would have before I so stupidly screwed it up.
So basically whatever the preloaded CC, PC and note #'s this thing came with worked great and none of the 4 presets the editor comes with seem to work as it did out of the box. Can anyone help me or point me in the correct direction?
Also since I'm here, I do not fully understand what CC and PC do (along with the CC and Program Change buttons on my controller). Anyone got any useful links that might give me a more solid understanding of their function?
Thanks a million!

Re: Akai MPK mini > CC, PC configuration
i know you can link the mpk pads to the fpc in FL by putting the "note" on the pads on the fpc to "LRN" like a midi learn function if that helps

I'm sure there is a factory reset for the mpk. Also note, this is a good reason to back up you configuration files.
The pads, if you want to set them up, just hit a pad and hit edit. Make sure it is set to send notes, and then choose what note to send.
If you want to know what note it is sending now, just open up the piano roll of a selected channel, and start hitting the pads, and scrolling up and down if you don't see a little orange key being pressed.
Don't trip about program changes, for the time being. CC is continuous controller, and it is the midi format for transmitting knob and fader movements. cc74 for example is the default cc for cutoff.

Re: Akai MPK mini > CC, PC configuration
Thanks guys. The MPK editor doesn't have a default function which I find phenomenally stupid. Anyways I did get it figured out, before I saw your posts. I came back here to post my solution just in case someone else has this issue in the future, but it looks like ToxicBass has that covered. I'll post it anyways.
Just match everything up to this image: https://www.storedj.com.au/attachments/ ... 1293080523
I just found that by doing a Google image search for: mpk mini editor
Lucked out and the first image was the default settings.
Thanks guys
