Re: Pay for Benga to listen to your tunes
I kinda like this idea.
Will mean producers actually WANT him to listen, as opposed to just sticking his email address in amongst a huge list of other DJ's and hitting send.
I get sent so much stuff nowadays I can't even listen to half of it, so I only listen to stuff uploaded to my soundcloud dropbox unless it's from somebody I'm expecting an email from. Or one specifically sent to me.
Half the mailing lists and labels that send me stuff now aren't even sending me dubstep or grime. It got annoying clogging up my hard drive with stuff from people who don't really care if u listened or not.
I say fair play and agree a quid is not a lot to pay, at least you know you're not getting lost amongst the gigabytes worth of unfinished ideas that people send en masse to his email address

Re: Pay for Benga to listen to your tunes
So is this only for UK producers? On that site it says they're looking for good artists in the UK. Because I think this is a great idea but I live in the U.S.
  ???

This is a good idea. Hopefully Benga manages to pull some needles out of the inevitable haystack.
Re: Pay for Benga to listen to your tunes
Benga should know better than charging £1 per upload considering the large majority of people on dubstepforum are tramps.collige wrote:http://talent.benga.co.uk/
It's great that he's interested in finding new talent but£1.00 per music file upload.
But on a serious note can someone, anyone lend me a £1?

If it's the only way to control the quality of music, why not?

aw harry son
just when i cut my rate for examining spotted dicks to 50p
actually, I think it's a great idea:
Benga's superannuation scheme.
I'll charge him a quid not to tell the tax man.

fact hes charging £1 tells me its more likely to be a quality control thing than a money making thing

If you think your music is worth £1, then send it in.
If not, stick with posting it to Mt Edam fans on YouTube.

Re: Pay for Benga to listen to your tunes
I'd rather pay for cutting a dub and hand it over to an artist in person. Now that would show I'm confident about my music. The idea is good tho imo.

You do that mate.
Re: Pay for Benga to listen to your tunes
as long as you get fairly decent feedback, as in some advice on how to improve technically or whatever then i don't see a problem with it. I wont be using the service but its not really aimed at people like me.

Re: Pay for Benga to listen to your tunes
pay me £10 per tune and I will vocal it for you, I will fuck a slag on it and cut it to dub for £50
