thought all the mormons were in nevada... or maybe they moved. who knows? guns are one of those things... if you haven't been around them (as in your family never had them, or purposefully shunned them) you're probably scared of them because you think everyone who owns a gun is a thug. most people who own guns never take them anywhere but the firing range. i sure as hell wouldn't want to live in a place where guns are illegal for the public to own... that's the situation where only thugs will have them. and that sucks.

Fuck Utah. This state is so backwards. I've been lucky enough to not have lived here my entire life, but other than that, I was born and raised here. Can't wait to leave this shit hole. Music scene's shit, society and culture is shit (and non existent when it comes to culture) They keep raising taxes on tobacco, the beer's like watered down piss. Bah, in a morbid way, I agree with that.

The whole right to bear arms thing isn't just some backwards redneck thing. Some people say it's a relic from the past, but the whole idea stems from securing some sort of defense for the citizens when their government turns against them.

Needless to say, given the circumstances in several countries, I can understand why armed civilians may be a good idea. Even in modern times.
