…he hasn’t gotten back to me. :? Isn’t that part of the deal though? He’s supposed to critique it, whether he likes it or not? Has anyone heard back from him?

I just wanted to say, at no point does it say anywhere that Benga will listen to your tunes. However, whoever is manning the "Benga Talent Search" probably will. I'm not saying he wont, just wanted to highlight that as far as I'm aware at no point does it say that.
