I know it's horrible. sorry for your loss mate. just keep yourself busy and have a couple of rebounds. after i parted with the sopranos i had this one night thing with goodfellas. doesn't take the pain away but helps you forget for a while. keep strong brok block wrote:Coincidentally, i finished Season 6 about half an hour ago.

Christopher trying to get into a club spots Martin Scorsese...
"Hey Marty! Kundun. I liked it!"
There's always dialogue you don't remember from before.
One of the best episodes, when they go over to Italy, the motherland.

Re: The Sopranos
It's detailed but I find it boring. My mate bums it and thinks it's like real life, he doesn't get how I can not think it is when he's never been to America or lived like a mobster so wouldn't know either way

Re: The Sopranos
love love love
thought the ending was class. kind of a cliffhanger or is it.... dont wanna give too much away but I think it was the best way to end it without having too many complaints about various loose ends. however they'd done it no-one would haved been happy but this way seems perfect.
brought new meaning to dont stop believing!

Re: The Sopranos
its like real life because 2/3 of the show is dedicated to social interaction, the beauty of the show is the setting is the world of a crime-boss in New Jersey, allowing the writers lee-way to do a crime drama which strips the glamour normally associated with NY mobsters and bring it down to earth.test recordings wrote:It's detailed but I find it boring. it shows real family relationships complete with problems with marriage, children, schooling and healthcare which affects modern america and europe
it shows real social issues such as institutional racism, nimbyism, the effectiveness of police, the growth of psychological awareness and the stigma it brings etc.
it analyses the dynamic of groups from a psychological standpoint that no serial TV show had really delved into before
and what makes it brilliant is that the context is a Mafia family, so the writers can paint these things in an entirely new fashion - make these idea's interesting again
plus the acting is SUPOYB, and the writing/script is memorable, funny when it needs to be, very dark, very complex and engaging
duno how you can find it boring but hey ho nothing is for everyone!

Re: The Sopranos
I reckon the episode in season 1 when Tony finds out Junior eats pussy and when they find out the coach is a paedo is one of the funniest.
Tony drunk at the end aswell! Legend
