Preferred control of LFO?

Post by HiDefinition » Mon Mar 21, 2011 3:11 pm

Hey, I was just wondering when you all make your bass wobbles, how do you prefer to change the rate of the LFO?
Because I'm having a go at automation with the mouse on live and I was just wanting to know what you all do. I'm using Massive as well..

Thanks for the fast reply, I've been going over the forum to try and get my self known with some techniques around dubstep and you've helped me a fair bit actually ;-)

I generally try to get it right by assigning a knob to the lfo rate, then go in and fix it with the mouse after. not too bad.
Sometimes I've got different rates as a duplicated/synth with slightly modified parts because I want it to sound slightly different at different rates. Whatever's easiest for you though :)

I usually have at least 3 different versions of the same synth with different envelopes and lfos. Either that or bounce individual notes.
