Ramadanman Album Launch @ Fabric

Post by malabuandcoki » Mon Mar 21, 2011 1:52 pm

It was probs the best night iv had at fabric.
Julio and Rama played big big sets, and Joy Orb b2b Ben UFO played the sickest garage set.
Dark dub riddems from mala b2b pinch as you would expect. (wish mala would play out eyez vip more and less of the original)
When Julio played Battle for Middle You, the place went off! iv never seen such good vibes at fabric.
Rama also played his edit of Sicko Cell, was pretty interesting. Bare reverb on the vocals.
There was plently dnb in room2 so that kept all the dnb heads in out of room1.
Joy orb also dropped this-

ITS A LOT :Q:

Anyone else go/enjoy the night?

I thought it was pretty friendly crowd, considering its fabric. I suppose im comparing it to jam-packed dubpolice nights, with aggy shirtless dickheads.
Room 1 was mostly full of trendies trying to look cool and people buzzing on md. Vibes were pure love.
I doubt we will see a line up like this again soon. the cream of future garage/beats.
SO glad i made the journey :corndance:

Best night out I had in Fabric for a long time, only ventured out of Club Autonomic in Room 3 for the end of Ramadanman start of BenUFO b2b with Joy Orbison which was great if not a little packed but personally best set of the night went to D-Bridge hats of to a true veteran DJ that built up one of the most interesting journeys in bass music I have had in quite some time and there was plenty room to move. As far as vibes went I though it was brilliant was my 3rd time in Fabric since the start of the year and didn't encounter any muscle poser boys or moody ladies that never seem to be having fun, seemed for once that 90% of people where there for the music not just because its Fabric, fingers crossed for more hessle audio/autonomic nights in the future.

Ironically my drum and bass pal who was in Room 2 for the majority of the night said it was awful, full of first time skankers and shirtless morons brocking wildy out to shit jump up apparently. Said it was one of his worst fabrics ever and he's been 30+ times.

But anyway best night I've had in ages.

It was by far the best night I've ever had in Fabric, convinced 3 mates to come and completely converted there musical taste....

Caught the end of julio bashmore but from what i heard he tore it up. Rama absolutely killed it dropping all his recent tunes, personal highlights include 'deep inside' 'workin with' and 'woo glut', 'boddika - soul what' went off big time and that sicko cell refix was fucking intense, people were just looking at each other in pure confusion/amazement. But as I'm a garage boy at heart joy orbison and ben UFO set was ridiculous aint danced at a rave like that in ages, like what T_! said stonecold getting dropped was emotional for the garage heads and when 'once waz nice - messin around (original)' was dropped the place erupted. Mala and Pinch ended of the night dark as you like and gave people a chance to unwind and feel serious bassweight. Vibes were alot evryone was there to appreciate the music and not jump around and mosh like dickheads (dub police nights) and cant really complain bout the busyness cos of the calibar of the lineup. In all if you missed it unlucky cos it one of the nights of the year!!!
