I would describe the dungeon sound as dark dubstep with slow attacking echoy bass synths that sound familiar to the hum that emanates from electricity pylons. Check Dungeon Sound by Dr Hugo as a prime example.

But yeah, great thread. This is the sound that got me into the genre, and the only real reason I'm still listening.
