alright, if this thread is going to work (and it should, because ive got some really useful feedback before), people NEED to give feedback before they post their tune.

ok sorry didn't know about that.

@ascent i like your tune, very loungy. bassline's fine maybe the drums are a bit too sterile? add some noises to fill the sound

@danimal cool sound! has much energy but might need a few moments of silence to increase the power! I love the moment when the drop kicks in

@sprayyypaint interesting style, deep wobble. the snare is still too dry, put on some reverb or some other effect? must fit to the rest! give it a nice atmosphere

so here's my project at the moment, chase & status remix. i would like to know what you think of the sound so far, i'm new to producing dubstep

@oprs Loving that jazzy feel in the intro, cant help but feel that stuttery synth that comes in at 1:24 sounds a bit out of place though. Maybe try to make it a sound a bit more organic?
@ascent thats a nice track man. The drums are really nice, love that tribal feel. They get a bit dull over time though, you might wanna fade them in a bit more through the intro or add a couple of variations to spice it up a bit
@sprayypaint Not really my style, but it works pretty well. Mix up that main synth/bass line every few bars!

Heres mine, its the first track I've made that im somewhat happy with, interested to see what people think. Especially about the hi hats the come in with the second round of piano, been struggling with those for a while

not got much time so i can only do one..

@oprs: enjoying the intro so far.. feels like there needs to be something extra when the kick comes in to fill in the space
like the bass drop! and percs.. at 1.09 ish you definately need something more there, its feeling empty. i feel you switched it up too soon
ah liking this synth @ 1.23, fits nicely imo. should've kept the bass rolling at 1.47, i wanted more!
2nd drop.. not feeling this synth line it's a bit too harsh.. also stop pulling up the bass, i'm expecting a good few bars of rolling bassline but then it goes away :(
all in all i like it, but i think if you kept the bass going in certain points it would make it a great tune

@lightshapers
Sweet song, I love how it goes from really spacey in the intro to really badass after the drop :P The bit in the middle is awesome too, but the kick drum build-up seems a bit awkward. Otherwise, great song :D

@oprs what a sick song. im not into this type of dubstep but sure was a hell of a tune
@abanglee like the idea but it sounds like the synths are drenched in reverb so tone that down a bit so it can be clearer
@edmumford what a tune so nice to listen to keep that up
@lightshapers sick song but the build up was a little weird O.o

now this is my first song in logic 9 so be gentle haha but i need feedback on this so i know where to go on this guys :D

@Sifty: Really liking that piano and strings set up. The drop needs something though. The crash sounds a bit weak, make sure theres something bassy under it like a heavy kick or two.
@Manny: Nice hydraulics, datsik! lol, just messin with ya. Not sure how I feel about just the one. I think there should either be more or less. Definitely add something in the build up, like some kind of riser. I love that wobble though. Very metallic and industrial.
@lightshapers: Dude, sick tune. Honestly I have nothing to add except that bit about the build up in the second drop.
@Troglodyte: I like it, it's very different. But I think there needs to be a heavy solid beat on the 1. So if I were you id change the drum pattern to land on the one and three

Thanks man, The drop is what I'm really stumped about.. It's lacking something.

It's back! I feel like my life is complete again.

ajw- I feel like the little melody you have in the beginning can come down in the mix just a hair to make it fit better. I'm not on the best system for listening atm but the subs sound nice as well.

Sifty- real nice production there man. Really like the atmosphere at the drop. :W:

Mannyyyyy- intro seemed really long, very well produced but very long. that's just imo. the drop was great though, finish this track for sure.

lightshapers- This one's about ready to be released :W:

A lot has been going on lately so I haven't had the time to work on this as much as I like but besides the mixdown and shortening or reworking the middle I feel its about ready for feedback. thanks DSF.

corey im not really diggin the sample or the long yois in the background but the drums are on point.

ajw i love the beginning but i think the synth needs to sit back a little more and let the instruments do some talking too sub bass is nice though

manny- wow was not expecting that to come out. very nice. i love that synth sound. intro needs a little more. idk. umph. overall definatly good shit

sifty- im in love with the drum work in the intro. i think the stabs are a little loud. not by much. gives it a nice salsa feel ahah. just work on your drop a little bit. i like the style though.

lightshapers- out of the box man. nice and strong intro drop at 1:00 had me at a battle field hella nice. tons of energy and bass. id definatly like a 320 of this thing. second drop. as i expected Killer.
