@sprayyypaint - Your track is hella sick, I love it. Where did you get the samples? I don't like the "intro sample" though.

This is more electro than dubstep, but whatevs:

dubmikey. the intro really doesnt fit. your build is really kinda expected? i like the low wob that pops in randomly. still needs some work

bastian its nice to see another nc native. the intro's nice. the kick is kinda high? but once you hit your song its kinda all goes together. maybe work on the levels some?

@Dubmikey- which intro samples? the "im the shit bitch"?? the samples are from "gucci mane-im da shit" in regards to to your tune, the drums sound flat, they have no swing or groove. i dont like the snare sound too much, its too low muddy. some parts seem to sound off. and the wobbles might have a little too much high end. regardless of all that i think that with some work this could be dope! keep at it homie!

Thanks for the feedback guys, will try to work on it! ;)

@sprayyypaint - I'm talking about the "yeah yeah" sample in the very beginning, I don't really feel that it belongs there, but maybe that's just me. Besides that I am really feeling the track and I'm sure it will turn out dope!

dang. that track is absolutely sick dude. i've had a really good playlist going on my music player, paused it to start your song, and when it finished, i went back to my music player to see why it didn't go to the next track. so that's saying something!

i'm having alot of trouble getting my track to have that professional quality you find in good dubstep tracks. i've been djing around lately and i'm trying to get into production as well. i've been composing since i was fifteen for band and orchestra, but it's a different story creating the sounds yourself and doing all that, but i'm trying my best. any tips/critiques are GREATLY appreciated!

the song is still a work in progress. remix of nancy sintra- bang bang

eb4ever - i'm no pro either but your track is lacking a serious element in my opinion...BASS! it sounds like your using hi-pass filters on all your wobbles...or you totally eq'd out anything below like 500hz...gotta pump up that bass man

@ Mannyyyyy: dude heavy stuff man. i read one of the other comments saying a weird mix. i dug it totally but though it was a bit on the loud side on this end which i didnt expect (NOT saying thats bad)

@oprs: lovin the ghostly piano and deep sub. really dig the entire song and would listen to an entire album like this. keep bringin it!

@Brero: dig it man. total simple sound and has a good groove. i want more out of it though. like especially in the end. i dont know if i mean like another element or sample or breakdown of some type. but i really like where it is and where it could go.

and here is my track. just finished this up about an hour ago. just trying to keep it simple in this one and i dont have a sub in it (nor know if i am gonna add one.) would appreciate the listen and feedback

Ok so these are the tracks I'm feeling most...

@DurtyD - That's coming along good. Download the Massive threat presets for massive and customise a bigger synth, its still sounding a bit flat, this will give you some BIG sounds to adjust.

@Earcandy - Man... You got to finish that shit!!! V good. The synths need work try and get a fuller sound.

@sausmatoe - V good for a first track, My advice would be to build up an arsenol of VST presets if you're just starting out, so just keep experimenting and working on getting your synths to fit in the mix.

@lightshapers - the falling (mid/high) bass lead feels a bit flat, I might try and lower the bit rate and duplicate it with more distortion, that beat is big!!!

@ 710 killer-klowns - Love the intro, this track is feeling pretty pro.. If I had to change something I might add another snare on top 4 bars after the beat kick in just to raise the atmos and intensity.

@Trainwrek - These beat samples are worjking well, you just need to work on some more leves with bass and synths. the mid distorted synth is way way way too far back in the mex. Nice reverbs going on.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So I have been working on a new WIP the second link is the old vs (from earlier on in the forum) lot's of mixed feedback like dude wtf!!! hard to listen to etc.

New vs has cut down intro still not flowing enough IMO at the start but getting there. This structure seems to work better I think. Next I guess I need to make the buildup more fluid, stop everything from peaking and work on the bass.

Fluidmoshun: Original, like your sounds. Very catchy and wierd, like it :)
Traffek: Really needs sub, nice drum work, feels kinda empty tho, sub add sub!'
Dreamthief: Sounds very organic and original, like it.

Enjoy :)

@Akkep - Nice framework, reminds me of some of Distance's tracks. The Bassline melody is fat. I personally think you should switch the lead synth to something wider and something with more spectrum. More gritty on the lower end, wider on the top try using a dimension expander.. That track is gonna be good...

@oprs - Track sounds really cool, I love how different it is from all other tracks. I just think it could need a little more bass though. Keep up the good work! :)

Heres a WIP of mine, I am not sure if it's done, so feedback and ideas are much appreciated! :)

@akkep : I like it, brosteppy but can use a reduction on the reverb...too much is too much man, turn down the reverb. I DO like the slight offset on the wobble, makes it sound lazy (in a good way) and somewhat relaxed while also keeping the listener interested.

@DubMikey : bass needs more...bass i guess, add some distortion too, it just sounds like a reverbed sine to me. So deepen and distort the bass while also adding sub
EDIT: I didn't listen all the way through...filter off some of the highs on the bass, its too loud and hurts tbh.

@hakka : I can't say much since you are past my level in dubstep imho, but in the 2nd track, the bass needs more umph, ya know?

Here's my latest WIP. Im a 15 year old hiphop producer (doin it for 3 years) and just got into dubstep. This is my 7th dubstep and all I want to do to it now is add vocals, so the production aspect of it is about complete.

@DreamThief - I like it. I can't quite hear the sub, but you said it's just framework. Perc sounds really clean though.

@DubMikey - Atmosphere is great. Shaker is a little loud, and so is the sub. A little mixing needs to be done. And it sounds kinda dry. Verb it up!

edit: Somethin' seems to have got a little gummed up while uploading. Some odd clicks and noise on the sub where there isn't on the mp3 when I playback on my comp... :S

Hello all, just found this thread, been posting my wip in the dubs forum like a twat, anyway here goes it.

@BadBoyBastian3B- like the overall feel to the track but it get a bit boring and repetitive, the intro is too long and similar, also would work on the drums, i don't like the snare/clap but i think thats personal opinion.

@dreamtheif, some really cool sounds going on here especially the water type sound, and when i drops my god that's funky, loving it, would maybe like to hear something in
the low and Maybe get to the drop a bit quicker, but damn feeling that groove. can't wait to hear the finished product.

@haka r.e the haunting, killer drum work couldn't really fault anything after the drop the cut's are insane! only thing I didn't like was just before the drop but can't really think of what could be done differently, top job.
r.e export, love the intro and the :z: before the drop is superb, not really feeling the bassline though, agin i think it's personal taste, peace.

anyway here's my current w.i.p, something a wee bit different. let me know what you think.
