Oh right, because its easy to make crappy imitations, but the artists we respect the most generally have a deeply nuanced and in some cases singular understanding of the techniques they use...

Oh right, thats why their stuff sounds good and our stuff sounds like cheap imitations, and they're famous and we're not.

Oh well, back to the drawing board for me. Thanks for nothing youtube.

I think you should make something that sounds a little original, make a tutorial and then post it. Not having a go, but it'd get better feedback and help us out too.
