Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
Hahaha, fl's best feature, emulated by all the others, all of which fail, and it is the worst for you... jokes.
Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
It looks beautiful.
It might be just me but is it a bit darker than before?
I use FL but I always thought the straight gray looked unprofessional.
It also looks like the edges of the windows and everything are rounded and a bit cleaner.
Now Image Line needs to solve the chaotic problem of a million windows floating around.

You mean by clicking the little X in the corner of the plug-in once you're done dialing in settings?!Atac wrote:Now Image Line needs to solve the chaotic problem of a million windows floating around.
New version looks so, so nice. Everything seems to run a lot smoother and I'm loving the bigger mixer tracks. I'm also liking the new additions to piano roll stuff too.

Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
It's built into the scroll button now. Pretty much use it the same way.legend4ry wrote:Ergh, learning the new GUI is going to take a while! Not feeling how the playlist doesn't have the zoom out and in sideways anymore as a button.

Also, if you are someone that uses pattern blocks, you'll have to turn them on through the general settings as they've done away with them being there as default.

What can I say, I'm not normal O.onowaysj wrote:Hahaha, fl's best feature, emulated by all the others, all of which fail, and it is the worst for you... jokes.
I do think FL is an awesome program though, it just doesn't like *me*.
Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
don't use it then, IMO the step sequencer is the shit for drums.paravrais wrote: The step sequencer makes me wanna pull my foreskin over my eyes and cry.
Also to get rid of the window clutter, just hit F12...
Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
I've always preferred writing drums in the piano roll. It's exactly the same as a step sequencer if you loop 2 bars in the sequencer and have your samples in a drum machine. But you get more instant control over what your doing. To each their own though.
Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
as stated, you dont have to use the step sequencer.
Also the patcher is dope.

Patcher patcher patcher! Can't wait to get stuck into that!Brisance wrote:as stated, you dont have to use the step sequencer.

Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
Try using the playlist + samples for drums. The visual aid it gives is really nice, even though things tend to get bit messy and changing velocities etc is bit struggle but still I get more interesting results using it.paravrais wrote:I've always preferred writing drums in the piano roll. I've done loads of sample-based songs entirely on the playlist without any patterns too.
And yeah, FL 10 look awesome. Haters gonna hate but this shit is hot
Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
the edit ghost notes feature looks super handy, anyone know if it'll open fruity 9 files?
Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
It opens FL 9.1 files without an issue, at least no issues that I've found.antics wrote:the edit ghost notes feature looks super handy, anyone know if it'll open fruity 9 files?
Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
Just to let everyone know, Dubstep should now be 130 bpm, as this is the new FL default.
Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!

I went to my mate "I guess we'll have to start making dubstep 130 now" when I loaded it up...Brisance wrote:JBE wrote:Just to let everyone know, Dubstep should now be 130 bpm, as this is the new FL default.

Re: FL 10 IS HERE!!!
Yeah it just seems a little like too much clutter when they could assign the windows tabs or something of the sort.arktrix wrote:You mean by clicking the little X in the corner of the plug-in once you're done dialing in settings?!Atac wrote:Now Image Line needs to solve the chaotic problem of a million windows floating around.![]()
Can't complain though! I love Fl
