Trains in Croatia are not very good. Not to Pula but Luton-Zagreb which i think Pula is about 2-3 hours from Zagreb. Did it 2 years ago and it cost me around 160 in fuel (1.8 Mondeo) Took around 21 hours. Bit of a mission tbh, but if you had a few days you could stop in Holland etc... I was on that bus that got stopped on the border for 3 hours!!
