Well you make a claim based on no testable evidence and use 'you can't disprove it, you just don't know' as the basis of your argument and go on to call people that disagree with you closeminded in so many words.

And 'science applies' isn't really how it works. Science applies the same everywhere because science isn't a naturally occurring thing. Science is a human construct and yes, science applies everywhere the same way because that's what's generally agreed upon.

What you're talking about are certain scientific laws. And for as long as there no evidence pointing towards them not applying in some place in the universe, then it's silly to rewrite every law of science simply to keep possibilities open as you see fit.

Having said that, if there's a place in the universe where gravity doesn't apply, then we rewrite the law of gravity. So in a way, yeah, scientific laws are the same everywhere.

everyone is allowed to be a scientist here, all of this is all true, no one knows anything outside of anywhere and no one can predict anything about the universe its all wrong due to the possibility that it was/is/will ever be somehow different and even that possibility is an unknown quantity because we cant make predicitions about anything ever... but as long as none of you are designing the cars that drive me around or the planes that fly me places or the packaging my food comes in or the drugs i take if i get ill etc. etc. im quite happy

also we can't prove the existence of parallel dimensions. They do however fit in with certain mathematical ideas about the universe such as projected-holographic universes and so on, but at the minute this is all just theoretical physics that no-one can prove.
sorry for multi posts but I was coming across these musings one at a time but they do need debunking

we ignore way more than we learn. give it a bit, and all these people programmed with software that makes them refuse to consider the existence of aliens will be ancient relics like the flat earth society. people don't change their minds because they don't know how to reimprint the software that they're running on, nor do they recognize that it is happening nor do they care. i'm not interested in changing any of those people's minds at all. you know who you are. you'll all die off sooner or later and folks with better software will be runnin' around.

Parson I think very few people actually doubt the existence of Aliens. I would say people who genuinely believe other life isn't out there are in the minority. Don't try and use exaggerated terms like "software" as a basis for attacking those who don't agree with you though.
