JUNGLE MIX. What do you heads think?

Hello!

I know this is the dubstepforum but i know a lot of you go just as mad for a few amen breaks so...if you wouldn't taking a quick listen to the mix i did for the outlook dj competition it would be top, top dollar.

I mean this as constructive criticism, I hope you understand, but as a huge jungle fan I've got to say the selection is a bit... predictable.

Any 15 year old yout smoking weed down the park has got those tunes, there's so much good jungle out there... maybe dig a little deeper than Shy FX and DJ Hype remixes?

Just a thought, overall I thought the mixing was good, best of luck with the competition.

haha no worries! cheers for the feedback. i know i know, nothing from Mr Parkes in there but i wanted to cater a bit for everyone in a way though and the tune selection was influenced in part by how well each one came together...i have a few i don't want to unveil and tracklist just yet as well. Been doing a lot of record store digging recently! If you have any recommendations or pointers to a few hidden gems you reckon need a lot more attention then definitely hit me up about them!

Some of my favourites include:

DJ Trace - Final Chapta (Rollers Mix)
Tom & Jerry - Air Freshner
Sub Nation - Golden Hen
Soundclash - Armed & Dangerous
Dub Selector - Champion Dub
Studio 1 - To The Rescue
Jaz Klash - 67
Lemon D - Feel It

and pretty much any early Dillinja release. Maybe look them up if you are after some less well known stuff. All depends on your taste I guess. Peace.

Yea man! that lemond d tune is a percy!...i am comforted by the fact i have at least got that one but..

jeeezz..ive just had a listen to the lot. f*cking hell. Looks like i might have to fork out..if i ever manage to raise the funds for some of them.

No problem mate.

You can pick up some really good bargains on old jungle records if you look around on the internet a bit, I managed to get all the '94-'95 Metalheadz releases for about 5 or 6 quid each. Depends how rare they are I guess.
