Gross, sporatic and different tune, need feedback

Post by Monstro » Wed Apr 06, 2011 5:13 am

Hello all, I have been creeping this forums unregistered for a loooong time, building my chops to get at a level that I feel comfortable producing and releasing tunes. This track has been through every computer issue imaginable, 2 crashes a new computer build and everything else you can possibly throw at a song to try and kill it, yet it lives on. I really enjoy this one, and I would greatly appreciate any feedback I can get, and will gladly give feedback in return. :corntard:

Try separating your intro from your drop abit more, because the same synth is used after the drop the drop feels kinda weak, try upping up the bass adding a sub and strengthen your kick way more, I like the aspect tho, keep working on it!

I like the concept of the track... It has huge feel & sound to it.... My only advice is the mixdown needs some work.... The tracks sounds a little muddy.... The basslines on this track are nice!!!! Keep at it !
APB.... unless you can sing that shit... you best bring that shit.... HARD STEP FACTION

Thanks for all the responses. I have struggled with the kick on this song since its inception, mainly because it always seemed too loud. There is PLENTY of sub in this song, but it sits at 39Hz so you need good monitoring to hear it properly. I have done everything possible to unmuddy the mixdown, but to no real avail, I am glad to have a positive direction to go in based on the comments, but I have went from confident to questioning myself entirely. I liked that the lead carried out through the drop to give it a cohesive song feel, now I cant decide what to do with the lead, maybe Ill just take it out entirely...

thats actually really good mate, the synth work is excellent. only listening through headphones so hard to give you much meaningful advice, but it sounds really good. the wobbles are brilliant. i like the EQ. keep it up. :4:

sounds really nice! i enjoy the synths and set up at the drop. maybe bring the sub up a little? give the synths a little more power behind them. thats the only thing i feel it could use. maybe have a very simple percussion line going after a few bars of the synth, just in the background to accompany it. good tune!

i like the initial atmosphere and the way the synth line was gradually brought in;; gave it some texture and set the mood for the whole track;; the basses are absolute killer :W:

The sub hits at 39 HZ so its there and its loud, but you need a decent set up to hear it properly. And where the song fades the intro comes back again, I just have it fade out for time sake, the song is actually 6:15 in its entirety.

thanks alot for the comments!!!

Nice, I can hear the idea and it has a nice feel, however, the sub sounds a little weak from where I am listening and I think you could do with giving it a bit of space to breath and maybe something to smooth in the changes... Big up!!!

Good effort man glad to see this tune didn't get lost in the abyss. Some nice bass edits could do with some beat edits to accent it a bit more but good shit :)

I love the sketchy chilled vibes on this. That drop was so unexpected! Nice and heavy after the drop too. Well done.
