Scream(?) lead sound - How to?

Post by Joakim » Thu Apr 07, 2011 11:20 am

Hi,
I've read all day on this forum, and it's so much useful stuff here, so i decided to create an account!
Normally I've been producing pop, rnb, and also house and electro, but have started a little with dubstep now, and as everyone else in the world, i've falled in love with dubstep!
Just wondering how you make the crazy screamers like in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWqYcWC1 ... 22FE7D03E8 (1:14 sec) ?

I mostly use Predator, Operator and Massive in plug-ins, and Roland Gaia SH-01 as hardware.. Can someone please explain how to make these crazy sounds?

Best,
J

just get your normal 'filth bass sound' and shift it up a few octaves and pitcshift it with an oscillator or something.

I heard skism does tutorials on youtube and goes by the name of Tasbo1982 or something but I don't think that's him. And ive made something similar to that i believe if you want to achieve that sound in massive im guessing some phase modulation, detune the osc a little, and that's all i got for you ah

Sure sounds a lot like you. I've watched your "Down with the Kids" documentary too many times to know it isn't though :6:

ye that's what I thought. those tutorials are alright, if you actually do some i know they would be a lot more interesting and better. and skism is 2 people i presume? i know you won't answer so I will just google it.
