haha, I was just wondering. I was fucking around on FL studio, tried it out, produced this BEASTLY chord progression, so I made it into a tune. Sort of feel guilty about it.
Thoughts?
Yeah that's what I've noticed, it can sound very 8-bit and uninteresting.amphibian wrote:It's a very easy way to get some amazing riffs, and its done automagically. In some synths you can even set the scale you want. Cheating? No. It can sound mechanical/cold though.

In the beginning, there was the DAW, and the DAW was with the Producer, and the DAW was the producer. Then GOD said, "LET THERE BE FX!" And there were FX. But then God looked down and saw that there was no use for his new fx, so he created the synthesizer. Massive was destined to be popular, while others with more capability were never noticed. On the third day, God said, "Let us make music in our likeness and our image." etc...........

Then sub-genres took over the world, spreading worldwide chaos all throughout the once peaceful, holy land.

haha iv actually been really baked before and thought of something like this. just minus the adam and eve bit.jrisreal wrote:When God created production, it was intended for good music that would reflect His holiness. He told mankind never to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for then we would start to make evil music. Eve sinned and tempted Adam into eating the forbidden fruit. At that very moment, dubstep was born. When Jesus came to die on the cross, it was meant to save our souls from the evil that is dubstep. To spare us from the certain death and destruction that time-warping bass can and will bring.

no, dub is a giant beast that came out of the sea. it had seven heads and 10 horns. these heads are named Logic, Ableton, Reason, Fruity Loops, Reaper, Cubase, and Garageband. Garageband had a scar from a fatal wound it received from sucking so badly.Skratch wrote:Actually, According to the bible, Dub was an incredibly large beast made from resampling and ableton. Rumor has it that Hercules stepped on the one known as dub, and his name was then changed to Ajapai.
Random? Yes.
True?
Fuck yeah.

if you send an arp to a seperate midi track in ableton it will record the pattern so you can change it like in FLdeamonds wrote:think it's a good way to get something down quick when your lacking in inspiration, also, you can always take bit's out and move them around if you hear one part you like.
this is one of the best features in fruity i think, especially as it lays it out in midi notes and isnt just a random midi effect like on ableton.
