i think another misunderstanding is about to happen. what i meant is that his sound designs can be fit for movies and stuff, not saying he has to be everybodies favorite producer/artist...

i mean i started this thread so that we could all share a laugh, not cuss eachother out over little misuses of words...'looping' instead of 'repeating the pattern' ??? how is that something to "facefuckingpalm" to? And Whats wrong with saying that alot of dubstep uses distorted basslines? its true! There's no way that I was suggesting that all dubstep is the same, i was simply stating that the use of "basses" is commonly found in dubstep songs. I don't know why you guys have such a problem with me stating that fact. Are you afraid to admit that theres sound design involved with dubstep? Are you ashamed of your basses? I realize that theres tons of different kinds of dubstep and hardly any of it is the same. I wasn't stating otherwise

fine...i give, just quit responding its annoying. i didnt mean to annoy you guys or anything. i dont know much about technical side of production, so im sorry if i dont know the terminology you guys use...like ive said before, i still consider myself a noob in the dubstep scene cuz i only been doin dubstep for 2 or 3 months. i apologize for wasting your time I just thought I was starting something that would be fun for people to add to, but it mutated into a hate fest. On every single forum I've ever been a part of, there's been a kind of slow, 13-15 year-old kid who signs up, posts nonstop bullshit for a few months, gets e-bullied by the whole forum, then runs away screaming.

Seriously, it never fails. But somehow it's always really funny.

I'm not saying that this relates to jrisreal in any way, he just, er... reminded me.

On topic (Kinda): I have an otherwise very knowledgeable friend who calls the wobble bass in dubstep the "dub". For example, I sent him a song and he was like, "The intro was kinda slow, but when the dub dropped it got really good."

I never correct him though.
