@Cheeky : Sounds good mate, but the volume of your voice sample is a bit low ! Turn the konb up ! :D

Anyone else would advice me on this ? Soundcloud

thanks man, I would call this my second true dubstep tune so the fact that its just a mishmash of ideas is me experimenting, and I'm learning a lot through working on it so I'm gonna keep approaching it that way

Quite like the manipulation of the vintage sample, sets the tone nicely. However it seems far too disconnected from the drop, you should probably introduce more elements to the song but you unload everything. The bass is quite decent as far as tear-out music goes, but yeah try to integrate it more.

Sexy bass but really do not like that synth that comes in at around 40 seconds. Doesn't fit in right IMO. Other than that it's a really solid sounding track.

Thank you Lucifa, but i've read this a bit too late :D

I worked all day long on the first idea i had and i tried to translate it on my daw. I'm still a bit far of what i really wanted to do, i must admit that i have to practice again ! So there's the track, wish you'll like it and any criticism are welcome :oops:

Hey guys, been working hard on this track. I'm having issues specifically with mastering. My drums seem to ALWAYS peak no matter what. If they're not, they just aren't loud enough in the mix:

check this out and let me know what you think. any help on the mixing would be awesome too!

@Darj: Holy crap, i love when people do samples that aren't just female vocals or rap. funky piano :) i dig your bass synth.

its a little weird going from the piano to the drop and back. the glitchiness you do to the piano sample has potential but it sounds a bit sporadic right now. oh god but 2:40 is sexy. and everything works much beter

@Danimal: groovy bassline, i like the variations that you do to keep it interesting. the sounds that come in around :60 are trippy (the higher end) and keep things cool. i dig it as a whole. very chill.

i hope you find this since it's above your post :p

heres the updated WIP... I'd like to wrap this up soon. Could it use anything else?

@Darj

Are u fckin kidding me? You've got charlie brown groove on the piano straight to some dirty dub?? Ridiculously creative. My only possible criticism would be to build towards a smooth transition from piano to the drop. Not necessarily a build up.

@NRHc

Real buttery bass. I'd personally bring out more of the mids or highs a bit in the bass. This track has serious atmospheric qualities to it. It could use a good vocal sample.

Hey, just wanted a little feedback. Not a dubstep song, but how can I improve in mixing especially? Thanks and Cheers.

@Danimal : Sorry but I don't have any piano groove, it is just a sample that i've played with. There's no progressive build up because i wanted to give a big slap to the listener when it drops. But thanks for the effort and i'm taking notes for my futures productions :)

Now for your track, it looks fine, time to give us a killer tune ;)

@ Eb4ever : Thank you too so much, i was pretty afraid of having only bad criticism :D
About your track, your tune looks like it was highcuted. I mean, there's no low end, your sub is very high and your kick too. The synth looks good and the way goes the track is fine, keep it working mate :)

@Jetpack : Quality track here, i like what you did with your drums and that lead is good !

@Darj
Great tune. I personally like the sudden drop. Maybe some old vocal samples scattered over the piano.

@Darj awesome idea man, like others have said maybe smooth out the transition from the piano to the bass but nice work. great basses too.

@jetpack cool song. not sure what criticism to give you with your mixing haha sounds good through my headphones, sorry I can't be of much help :| take it as a compliment

@Danimal big fat drums, good work. sounds like you can wrap it up, sounds good.

here's something I actually just started up this morning I didn't sleep much.. I thought it sounded decent until I saw some of you other guys' stuff haha but anyway feedback is appreciated, especially advice on mixing/mastering.

@jetpack

You've got a pretty good mix down here. Tidey track.

@Krispies

I'm a fan of your work man. Very creative stuff. Instruments are on point and drums are intelligent. Keep it up.

@Matthew-B dope tune, very solidly put together but it could use some variation, maybe a synth melody or a crunchy bassline or something like that in parts

Matthew-B - diggin the track but its real short so there really isn't much to say

Krispies- great intro, only complaint is I'm not a big fan of constant wobbles like around 1:10 but otherwise everything sounds good. Love the atmosphere and the drums are sounding real nice.

jetpack- the mix sounds fine but, I'm not really in a position to say though with my setup :corncry: everything about the track seems produced well but the ending is extremely awkward to me, it needs the second note so it goes drumdrumdrum bump bump not just drumdrumdrum bump :cornlol: does that make any sense?

Darj- I'm loving this track but the transition at 2:12-2:20 needs some work, I like the glitchy feel but it is kind of chaotic. however I love what you did at about 2:26 :W:

ok my track is kinda iffy, it's something I started a few days ago and am not sure if it's worth finishing...
Any feedback is appreciated because I'm pretty stuck at the moment. Also the mix was really quiet so I used audacity's amplify function to boost the levels its my first time trying that so I hope it turned out ok.

Iorek I like that it has a unique kinda epic feel to it haha. You're right about the levels being low but it's definitely something worth finishing, just try to work on your mix
