@710 this tracks a talker but well put together not really feeling the intro..i dooo enjoy the sweep around 2:00 suggestions would be to add some other snyths. perhaps a little break down either speed it up or slow it down..if you get what im saying.

@Iorek tbh at first i was a little skeptical but wow this is pretty awesome man love the atmosphere. imo beef this up it has alot of potential and smooth it out.. also that one snyth sounds a little to quiet ehhhh thats about all i can really pick on.

@adover really like this man nice build up not critical complaints imo could beef up the snyths, and add in some other atmospheric sounds just to add depth to it. other than that really great

here is what ive been working on. it does need a name so if anyone has a good idea please share :) ...also i will continue to give feedback for a while.

@crowsteppa - lol i have to say i really like that remix, only feed back i have is try to fatten up the bass its sitting to much in the mix

@nnny - those bongos in the intro are dope, actually all the drums are. im not to familiar with this style so im not sure how much help this is, but some clean guitar towards the end would be awesome

@adover - love the feel of that shit man, more bass resampling would always help but what you have already is pretty damn solid. a little more gain on the lead sounds would help a ton. epic fucking break, i dont really know what else to say thats a damn good track

heres my most recent wip

@kushhmane Cheers for the feedback bro. the drums were what I focused on mostly tbh, so it's good hearing nice comments about them. And dont worry about not being familiar with the style, if you think something would sound good in it, just fucking say haha! I'm always up for experimenting, so I'll deffo give that a go and see what happens.

Your track. Intro is cool, melody is wicked. Its a cool sounding synth :D Liking the kick drum pattern in the intro along with the hats. Helps it flow along nicely. Not a huge fan of that particular vocal sample before the drop, but thats just my preference in general haha. Bassline sounds awesome, but if it was a bit beefier it would be even better ;)
Look forward to hearing it when you've done some more work on it!

Edit: In saying that, I'm on some pretty shitty speakers, no monitors, therefore I'd get some other opinions. The bassline sounding a tad weak might just be with me...

@Kidstrange Listened to this earlier, liked it, forgot to comment haha.. I like the drum pattern, quite unique, but it works for me. Nice dark atmosphere. Is there samples of birds chirping in there? Thats what it sounds like to me, love it. The whole track, I really like, but it does sound just a little empty, like, for me its missing just one thing. Maybe another pad, heavily verb'd to help fill it out? Just my opinion. Like I said to kush above, can't wait to hear this one done aswell!
Oh, and yeah, I LOVE how it gets like, staggered towards the end, dont change that :D

@Johnw1415 Just for future reference, you should give feedback to atleast 3 other people when posting your track. Only fair if they are to give feedback to you! The tunes actually not bad, considering it's not really my style. Sounds a bit muddy to me tho. The snare drum, sounds real weak. Needs to pack a punch! Mess around layering some with it/them.
That sample at around 1:05 needs some verb to help it fit in. Sounds a little out of place as it is. Maybe some verb and real subtle delay.

Some awesome WIP's being posted lately by everyone :)

@Johnw1415 i liked the intro. the drums need to be more interesting tho, maybe a few more high hats and a shaker or two and some incidentals to keep it interesting. not really my ting anyway
@ kidstrange was nodding the whole way through, i dont really have anything to add. plus followed to see how it ends up.
@adover nice track kept me interested and kept me bouncing

@Gewze I disagree with 3za, I love the intro, but everyone has an opinion eh?! Agree on the drop tho, it is perfect. Actually, the ONLY thing I would change would be to add just a smidge more verb to the snare and a few incidentals/one shots , then it would be perfect to me. I would LOVE if I could get a 320 finished copy, I like it that much! My type of tune mate :)

@nnny agree 100% with you about how it needs some filling. also yes indeed that there is some chirping birds then that break is some crickets. :W: the spring has awoken some inspiration !! as for you tune i must say damn i love the smoothness to it. so crisp and clear great work. aside from some minor work on the mix its great. must admit 3rd time listening to it all the way through. keep this up man

@Gewze thanks man! as for your tune i cant say the intro is to long. the rest is very chill and i like. it could use a little more atmosphere just a little something to give it that extra flare but so far so good man keep it up ill be following you

Haha wicked.

:D

Thank you so much :) 3rd time haha? Wicked! Im considering working on the sub. I don't think it's sounding as nice as it could, but I have real trouble with subs. The mix, yeah. I totally agree, but in that aspect, I havn't a clue what I'm doing haha, so it's something I really need to work on. Although some things are a struggle with me, I don't have monitors or decent headphones, and no job right now. Basically using like a 30 quid set of Logitech speakers, but they'll do for now.
At the mo im concentrating on banging out some ideas/tunes, then when I get set up I can go back and work on the mix ;)

not really musical, and the drums are too weak, replace the drums with stronger ones and also imo you should make the basses play a melody or atleast notes that fit well together
...in my opinion

kushmane - really like the intro, the build up and main part all sound on point to me. Good job overall, just finish it up.
johnw1415 - you obviously understand how to modulate and make dirty synth sounds, now you just need the arrangment and more melody to the bass line.
adover - love the drums and all the variation thrown in, keep it up...really dig the song in the sig too

Here is a track a posted a few pages ago, ppl said the wobbles sounded muddy and the hats too dry. I cleaned up some of the modulation and rinsed the perc/hats and tried to tie the main section together best i could with what sounds i had so far.

Soundcloud

Here is another track i just came up with today, not much processing on it just wanted to see what people think of the direction. I have been influenced by the purp latelyyyyyyyy

@sweetjames Dones sounds fine up until 1:07, that bass is still hugely muddy, for me atleast. Really needs sorted, but apart from that its sounding pretty cool. During the first min, needs some pads or strings or just something to help fill it a little.

The second is pretty cool, dosnt sound so muddy like the other. The intro is pure bare tho, I must say I prefer it when the other bass and drums are in, but i DO like the direction its heading in.

---------------

Heres just a LITTLE clip of something I got going a few mins ago, real bare, but just the beginning! Thought i'd post it, see how you's feel it so far.
Only posted one feedback because I think I've give as much as I can haha, posted a lot above, and no new tunes to reply to :)

Let me know what you think of it, what direction I should take it, etc.. :)

@nnny
Sweet atmosphere, I really like the percussion. The piano doesn't really suit the song though, maybe slow it down a little?

@ Johnw1415 - The bass is too muddy, too loud. Is there a kick or is it a tom? Like nnny said it's not a bad song. But not amazing yet. Maybe have more variety with the drums. Drum variety is something I suffer with - and I used to be a drummer for years. I like the pad you have going, sounds good.

@ kidstrange - Love this. At first in the beginning I didn't like the drums that were hard to follow, and then when they added the element to structure em I still wasn't sure, but the droney vibes and whao whao sounds are perfect, drums fit as well. And samples. Nothing sounds badly mixed either. Subs at a fine level. Good job. This actually got my head bobbin at times. The ending is lame imo, maybe delete it.

@ kushhmane - Nice wobs, really. Is your lead synth in the intro harshly bitcrushed? I ask because I like finding out to see if I can hear things like that. Good sounds and good arrangement! Can't think of much to say besides try and tighten it up and by that I mean see if you can get the elements sounding more in a space and less in there own areas.

Here's my WIP. I've been working on this plus 5 other songs that I might want feedback on, but I figure it's not right to post a ton at once.
Soundcloud

I use all of abletons native effects. If anyone can give me advice, changes, advice on drums, advice on how to put effects on the master track and so on. Right now I have a limiter set to plus 3 db and an eq 8 with a reduction by a db or so at 250 and a 1 or 2 db increase at 15khz. TL;DR but hopefully someone will read it. Thanks.

@eldoogle

Sub bass is spot on! I feel like it's missing something to help the fullness. I'd like to see the hi hat used a little more, too, or crashes for variation. I'd like to hear it on a some good subs.

Here's an updated WIP of my electro/hiphop beat. Increased the sub a bit and added crashes and tweaked the mix. Does it need any high range melody or variations in melody? Thanks and Cheers!
