As far as I know, there is no weekly dubstep event. But check the weekly paper The Phoenix (thephoenix.com) for listings these clubs:

Phoenix landing – Cambridge
Enormous Room – Cambridge
Middlesex Lounge – Cambridge
Solstice Café – Boston

Also, folks at the store LAB might know of something: 617.395.4330/ http://www.labboston.com

Sorry nothing specific. If you find anything, let me know!

dubstep in boston

Post by franchitto » Fri Apr 27, 2007 1:53 am

damn good question.
boston is slow on the uptake.
room tone is right about Solstace...
every friday Merge @ solstace 1025 tremont st. boston ...drum and bass...
except first friday of each month = garage, grime, this gent DABU (i think is his monniker) is a resident at merge and sometimes spins dubstep.
in fact also this same dj is spinning dubstep at Enormous Room central sq. cambridge on April 29.

Sweet....I was kind of hoping for something during the middle of the week but I guess it isn't gonna happen this trip. Booo.

I am tryin to get my coworker out to a dubstep event because he likes the sound but he's never been to a show. C'est la via. Maybe next time.

Thanks for the info though! Maybe I can keep nosing around and stumble across something.

I at least got the info on a breaks night so that will suffice.

It makes me sad to hear there is not much dubstep there though. :(

Ya'll need to work on that!

Thanks again to everyone for the information.

Thanks man! Would love some help. Been talking a bit with my friend Geoff about something happening here in town. Boston is asleep at the moment and, it seems really dismal. Have only been turning my friends and loved ones onto the sound. Would love to reach a bigger audence soonish.
