ambitions

Post by JungleHead » Sun Apr 17, 2011 4:20 pm

are there things in your life that you used to absolutely love and be completely involved with, but noticed that you dont act the same way about it anymore? i used to skate a ton and loved graffiti and tried writing. but since ive graduated from highschool ive become, lazy? i still love those things but my focus is elsewhere. when i get super fucking bored i think about doing these things but the ambition is just gone. what i have on my mind daily now is thinking about chillin with the homies, going to work making some money, or the next show that i want to hit up. and if im not thinking about that im thinking about the things i used to do.

maybe its just the next faze in my life where i just want to relax and be successful. i mean i still think about the old things i used to do so this hiatus might not be permanent

i dono im still skating and graffin it fuckin rules

got a gf that was fun but skating and graffin is way more enriching imo plus i guess it improves yoself physically and mentally (not that girls cant do that)

ill happily chill n smoke a j and appreciate birds and leafs and a nice beat accompanied with something amazing tasty, but i dont think once you grow up you should stop doing more exerting stuff like that.
if you dont enjoy it as much then dont do it, just do what the fuck you want basically... plus if you blaze that might add to the overall lazyness of yourself but its all in the mind dont listen to anyone but yourself you can do it reach for the stars! xxxx

I actually don't enjoy going to parties anymore...

I love tunes...love to hear them on big systems..even love the travelling/see new place thing...

but I hate standing around - hate fighting crowds...I hate that I smoke when I'm there...I hate making shallow conversation..

I have this stereotype about french people being really interested in other people as existential beings...
They meet a stranger - go sit in cafe and that stranger just tells them all sorts of personal/valuable things...
not I have this or I do that...but - their perspective on life and quirky things that are happening to them..how they are

To make a party would be fun - I'd rather be working the party right!!

doesnt really make sense complaining about the internet when you are using it yourself, no ones stopping you going outside...

Well...I had to sit with 3 tables of jewelry at a lookbook photo shoot a couple of days ago...

and it wasn't really that bad or anything..

I just sat and listened to models and hairstylists fluff around about outfits and shoes and stuff...
and it was alot of waiting..and trying to keep girls from sweating on the clothes...

I was there to keep them from stealing..and it was funny because they were talking about stealing the stuff..
about how it's common for models to gank shit towards the end of a shoot or show when everyone is packing up..

So I was policing my (and my classmates) stuff to make sure no one stole it..
Like working security detail in a shop..

But what I'm getting at- with the ambition thread and all - is why be in such a hurry to do that?
It's like waiting - then rushing to wait some more..

You should hear the furniture design kids...they go crazy because it takes them an entire quarter to make 1 thing..

I have ambition though - It's just maturing and I'm in between..as is with most people..even successful ones..

They say - (whoever they is..some journalist in a magazine) said...
That the average person these days will change their career completely an average of 8 times in a lifetime...

Beyonce said in that one song - "You have to know how to flip that money three ways..three ways.."

Music has been with me since I was a child - is one of my favorite things...

Jewelry...not so much..

but here are some new photos of my stuff thats been filtering back to me..
the pink necklace I made last quarter..
I poured all the resins myself and hand carved the bass wood to match..
the mechanism I made...the white beads and the pink ones on the cascade are the only purchased things..
