Hello,

So can't post this event up in the events section because its not a dubstep party but thought I would give all the house heads on the forum well, a heads up.

SUNDAY 1ST MAY @ PLAN B, BRIXTON
BLACK ATLANTIC PRESENTS

LARRY HEARD
ROBERT OWENS
WBEEZA
BICEP

Advance tickets - https://blackatlantic.ticketabc.com/eve ... tic-larry/

Black Atlantic continues to showcase the finest house and techno artists on the planet. After shows with Juan Atkins and Kerri Chander, this time its the turn of the legendary house music producer Larry Heard to head up the Black Atlantic jam.

Alongside him, Black Atlantic welcomes the equally legendary (and Fingers Inc collaborator) Robert Owens to Brixton's Plan B for the latest in their series of house and techno nights. Peckham based producer Wbeeza and rising star Bicep complete the lineup.

‘Can You Feel It’ is still one of the most important records in house music. Released on Chicago based imprint Trax in 1986 as Fingers Inc, the track was the first of many seminal tracks produced by the trio (Larry Heard, Robert Owens and Ron Wilson) throughout the 1980s.

Larry Heard continues to produce to this day, mainly under the Mr Fingers moniker, but very rarely DJs. His set at last years secret Love Fever party blew us away and his incredible 'The Sun Can't Compare' release as Mr White is still one of Black Atlantic's favourite late night jams.

Apart from the work he has done with Larry Heard as part of Fingers Inc, Robert Owens is probably best known for his involvement with the track ‘Tears’ produced by Frankie Knuckles and Satoshi Tomiie. He has worked with numerous producers in the last 25 years, most notably Ron Trent and Photek, as well releasing a number of solo projects.

Peckham based producer Wbeeza supported Moodymann at Plan B last year and has gone on to release his debut long player on the critically acclaimed Third Ear label. He is one of the few UK producers to have any real credibility amongst the Detroit elite.

Completing the bill is secretive producer Bicep. With releases on the Rapture owned Throne & Blood label and citing 80s synth don Giorgio Moroder as a major influence, Bicep mixes together disco and house in a style reminiscent of the early days, when house music was no more than edited and extended disco tracks played in the underground gay clubs of New York, Chicago and Detroit, a sound that has re-emerged via the likes of Horse Meat Disco, Disco Bloodbath and DJ Harvey.
