@kidstrange: dark and minimal! i like all those samples and fx in there, those panning birds sound awesome in my headphones. i like that suck sound before the snare hits too, is it reversed?

@randomic: like the piano in that intro! maybe bring that white noise down a tad, although it could just be my headphones. not to sound cliche, but i think an old retro movie sample would fit in nicely with this track. OH, that wobble just came in, wasn't expecting that. ehhh I don't know about that one man, i know you said you're still working on it but i think this would be a great sub-heavy track without a real wobble.

@wife: diggin this! i like the shaker sound on the drums, and that bass is solid! not all sub, and not all mid-range. finish that shit up!

@superginger: intro sounds tight, i've been trying to make a nice flute sound like that but haven't had much luck. sub sounds a bit heavy or maybe just needs a little eq'ing, the other elements get kinda lost behind it (at least on my system). snap sound is nice too, adds something different to the track.


here's my newest wip, my first experiment with drumstep/dnb. i still need to work/add some effects in/get some yoi's out, and the vocals were just a last minute addition so they'll get changed up too. let me know what you brahs think!

@TheHuman : your drums aren't punchy enough to me, even if the track is very chilled, i can't really feel rythm on it.

@Randomic : Nice tune, i really like the intro with this piano, but your bassline needs a little bit more high, not that much but that could make it a banger

@Willryan042 : Pretty good stuff, even if i don't really like the " Yoi " sound, don't abuse of it :p


Now here's some stuff i did yesterday, i have to work on my intro again, and i will try adding a second melody on the background of the track. Or maybe i will give it up and try again new things, i still don't know. Anyway i'm not really satisfied of this but, your advices are always welcome

@Ascian: dude loving the jazz electronica stuff. want an album like that. check out this album called "from L.A with love" great shit you would find groovy i think. i have no suggestions but i wanna hear the whole tune hah. like drums and all. really diggin it

@Quasi118: pretty cool. think the sample gets a bit boring. maybe try fading it in a bit over that first minute. i dig that drop though. 1:16 i think is where you should just kick into gear if you are keeping the sample going. or just lose it and make it go wild. nice start though! and this is coming from the not so biggest electro fan ha.

@dream thief: fuckin solid mate. sad it ended where it did. lovin the flute, even if it could get bigger in the mix. really nice start. great drum work in the beginning too. i am really lovin some of the sounds.

and that is for everyone, there are some great tunes being made right now and it makes me just aim higher for my productions and still no where near some of yall. so kudos!

New WIP - Brostep style so pretty different again. FAR from finished and I need a sample for before the drop so any suggestions on that as well as feedback on the tune would be great!

@ Traffek - Cheers bro that's cool, glad you enjoy! Just checked out that album and whoa.. Am loving that stuff! Cheers for that.. On to your tune:

Instantly blown away with the sounds.. Kick drum is VERY different but works.. High synth moves around really well.. Wobble creeping in now and it sounds great... YES! Loving how the wobble is the build up rather than a building kick or riser... First bass sound, genius.. Second bass sound is okay but for me it's a bit too high in pitch... Maybe put it an octave below or a few notes below? Second drop, definitely different enough to keep it interesting but fits the song perfectly!

The only thing I'm thinking so far is that the percussion needs changing up to make it more interesting.. I'm starting to focus more on the percussion hoping it'll change rather than the tune.

Overall though, sick mate.. Great job!

@ Dark - GREAT atmospherics at the start, hi hats fits perfectly..... Hi hat building, nice.. Different atmosphere, very nice... Building, extremely nice. Hah! SICK. Brock out to this one. Really sorry mate but, I don't have anything to say! It sounds sick.. Maybe the only thing is from the drop, it is ages before the first break.. Needs a bit of a rhythmic break somewhere I think.

Would love to hear final version.

@ willryan042 - Piano coming in at the start, sounds very nice - Kinda funky which is good. High pitched modulated synth, fits very well. Drum roll coming in - I always love that when drumstep kicks in you either expect dubstep or dnb but it's something, slower and more grinding.. Sounds great. Sample just before the drop fits perfectly and the synths are - Loving this tune as well.

@Ascian - That bass is filthy, but almost too filthy... it might need some febreeze, knawmsayin? *wink wink* *nudge nudge*

@traffek - Liking it, the sounds are almost 3d, but I think some of the hihats or shakers are a bit loud.

@Darj - I have nothing to complain about this one, but I think the first kick at the drop was a bit subtle. Nice intro too man!

Voodedoo: Mayyn, that intro is real nice going into to the drop. I wanna hear more man! Kick is a bit hefty on the low end for my taste, but hey ho. Just to see someone making some meaty dubstep. Especially like the intro. Not much I can comment on though cus its so short!!

Ascian: Melodies are sweet as a nut. You obviously know what you're doing. Sub is mixed really nicely. Again, kick is too bassy for me. Your main bass sound is filthy as fuck mate!! All i'd say is clear the sub from the intro. You want it as bass free as possible so you're laying it on fully when it drops.

Traffek: YES> Drop was really well constructed. Shaker is too loud boss! Love the fabriclive 37 style wobs in there. Really nicely done. Kick is a tad too resonant I think. Blend those shakers in with reverb. Solid track though man. This would send people nuts on a dancefloor. Second drop does nothing for me though I'm afraid.

ascian: im into the fat bass you have right after the drop, i just think you need to clean it up a little and add some higher range freq's on it... just a thought really curious as to where your going to take the rest of the track, tune's structured really well man...

debaser1: not really my style, but i can def respect the tune... only suggestion would be try varying the melody a little? or at least maybe the ghostly synth?

rave: real mellow vibe, im down... i only wish the drums would vary a little more...

I am really feeling the second one! It has a really unique feel to it that I'm definitely digging. Not sure if this is the direction you want to go with it, but I could see this building up into an epic, exciting, dubstep-ballad further into the tune. Excellent work on the chopped up vocalish sounding stuff. The drums are killer as well, I think that they are what make it such a unique sounding song. The hats you're using are spot on.

RAVE-the intro is kinda boring. i realllllyyy have the urge to skip forward. when the beat really starts its pretty cool. its not rally liek a dance track to me, but it sounds good so far.

Voodeedoo-that first tracks intro is dope. but im not into the drop. the second track has a good groove going. but uhh idk i woundt listen to it haha.

Edit : It sounds pretty nice, could do with some more 3xOscs layered and some processing to make it cover the full spectrum, it's a bit empty still. Keep on experimenting!
