Me and my mates were gonna try and book Stenchman once, and a little rabbit told me you could for like under a grand; maybe 500 quid or something silly. Bare in mind he's one of the pioneers of the dubstep movement, thats good man.

Back when DJ AM was alive a family friend of ours booked him for their sons birthday party, $15,000~. For someone as bad a Pauly D, 10,000-25,000$ http://www.popeater.com/2010/02/10/snoo ... -season-2/ --- http://www.tmz.com/2010/01/28/pauly-d-j ... re-dj-fee/ (Take these with a grain of salt, but it's still a number)

I know Erol Alkan gets £8,000 a show, and he's not that huge...

havnt promoted in years, but think about it. it all depends on the dj,venue, schedule, capacity, support for the prototers. we used to get pretty big names in small venues for cheap but our promoter had been around for years and had alot of friends. we would follow djs we knew and would book who ever was in town and worked with local labels that also supported our events.
if your capacity is 10,000+ massive your gonna have shell out the gouda

The £8k was for a new years event if I remember correctly, so yeah, I imagine it can vary!

Have to ask, are you asking how much you could make, if you made it big?

nitz wrote:I hardly doubt rusko gets paid 10k for a show. It cost 2k to bring Tim Westwood down, but he normal price was 2.5k but links from links got discount. So if he gets paid that much rusko for shit is not getting paid 10k. Whether you like tim or not, but the fact is he is bigger in name and fans then rusko, he knows most of the big hip hop n rnb singer in person, image how many songs get sent this way.
Who would you rather spend 4 hours listening to? Rusko or Tim westwood?
Its not a matter of whether i like him or not, simple truth is he's got about as much charm and charisma as the discharge from a burst blister. He's old as shit and he talks like he grew up with roll deep.

i wouldnt call him a 'pioneer of the dubstep movement' or even a big name, Stench is an amazing, amazing artist and DJ, but I talk to alot of kids that have not the slightest clue who he is, he has a dayjob, and his first release was 07 according to discogs... But yeah that is an average price for someone of medium-ish clout like him, I think thats probably about exactly what they payed when he came here.

dubstep is not a top 40 genre. only the top 5 (based on general popularity, not "quality" mind you) people are going to get seriously paid. hell the people who play the stuff i like are probably $500ish. but if you think about it... if you can get booked on a tour playing four times a week getting paid $500 per gig. not bad. :corndance:

So you'd rather listen to 4 hours of a middle aged bufoon shouting 'Yo dawg' and 'That was sick' over 4 hours of mediocre dubstep? I do feel for your friends and family.
