amazing resource for swing/shuffled percussion. mainly talking about garage but can be applied to dubstep aswell
i personally manually swing 16th notes by turning grid off. i used to use groove templates but not so much anymore. the tune in my signature (shameless plug) has a considerable amount of shuffled perc

Re: Shuffled Precussion
I've been trying to do this since august of 2009.
Benga's drums do it in ways that cannot be measured, I've always wanted to get one of those slow, yet quick, ever so trippy, clubby, dubby(-step), boom boom cah, drum patterns down!
Those beats are what skanking is all about imo!

Re: Shuffled Precussion
Often with percussion I like to play it in and then either manually mess about with the notes or sometimes quantise by a slight percentage to 1/16 or 16/T which usually tightens things up a bit.
Re: Shuffled Precussion
on a drummachine we used to slow the sequence down to 80 something, for 95 bpmish beats... and jam along then speed it up.. anyone still does this when playing live?
