So.. Where do I find GOOD jungle in 2011 ?

Post by NickUndercover » Fri Apr 29, 2011 5:44 pm

Heya other music forum ! I haven't been on here for quite a while but right now I'm stuck with a dilemma and I need your help !

I need to know: What's good in jungle in 2011 and what's been good in jungle for the past 10 Years ? I'm not talking that gangster bullshit I need good old happy sounding jungle like Tom & Jerry, The Joker (Skanna) etc... I've been on ragga-jungle.com but I don't know there's something lacking in the tunes I hear over there, it sounds like breakcore to me, too fast, sounds too industrial... I've been digging some Krinjah recently but I can't find anywhere that good uplifting ambiance mixed with the mad crazy amen breaks... But I know it can't be dead. It just cant. So if anyone knows where I can find those gems, make yourself known white knight !!!

Also, general jungle thread

Went to a few drum and bass jams during WMC here in Miami. Some notables from various events to me were Sinistarr, Stunna, Random Movement, and Atlantic Connection

Well, I've been feeling a lack of good ragga lately, but there are a few people holding it down for the stuff with nice vibes: try Baby Demo (ragga-jungle.com) maybe Clip n Carbine (also, mostly free).

Jungle's infiltrating new dnb a bit, but not as much the uplifting stuff... a lot of it is more atmospheric Photek-styles.

Well you've got me interested right there man, I'm a fan of Doc Scott, Bukem and all the stuffs too. The only atmospheric jungle I've found recently was from Alaska & Paradox, would you happen to have some more ? :)

Thanks for the kind answers I'll make sure to dig into everything that has been said
