It's the year 3000, Hyperswamphessleflush records is releasing a compilation of the tunes that shaped the years 2000-2011. What will be on it?

@Justin: Unfortunately, yes. Think it was a beginning of term rave so most of the people there were smashed beyond belief students, not 'heads'. DJ dropped it as a joke, i'm sure, but it didn't go according to plan. Got mixed out fairly sharpish so it wasn't tooo bad.

They have the occasional decent night down there. It's more for the hardcore/punk scene, which i'm also active in.

Maggies is definitely the place to go though. Distance and Appleblim played recently, just a shame I couldn't make it due to assignment deadlines. Also, there is a new place opened up on Armada Way (if you know it) called Karma. They seem to be doing some stuff. Waiting for something massive to come out though.
