A few plugins you guys should all have.

Seriously EVERYTHING on this page. Great free plugins that sound fantastic with BEAUTIFUL looking interfaces.

^^ These two are like my bread and butter.

http://www.kvraudio.com/db/rovee_by_g200kg

Rovee, simple little pitch correct/formant filter. Can be used for a variety of effects including basses. Just a nice simple extremely lightweight plugin to have.

http://www.kvraudio.com/news/the_colors ... loud_16065

Some great synths from colorspace, Drafter being my favorite to play with.

"Drafter is a 3-drawable-oscillator synthesizer with 2 Filters, 4 LFOs, a Bit Reducer, a Stereo Enhancer, Delay and Reverb effects."

Glace verb, a pretty interesting free reverb, you can get some really decent sounds out of this. (And sounds very unique)

And last, this fantastic Channel strip:

Not exactly a work of art but it definitely gets the job done.

There is no excuse to not have some of these great FREE vsts.

Sometimes I wish I wasn't on Reason.. Or that I could afford Rewire :6:

Reaper is a useful application, I use Nuendo as my main DAW.

But it is very useful to have on my internet PC.

cheers

How is nuendo?

I use cubase so I'm curious how they justify the 1,800$ price tag O.o

Nice list of plugins.

Reaper: I like the work flow of Reaper for arranging and mixing a track--though I'm sure it's comparable to other DAWs in that respect. I still prefer beat making and sound design in FL Studio, but I've been fooling about doing those things in Reaper. So yeah, as said Reaper is cheap and seems light on system resources.

really easy, just install your VST of choice and it will automatically find and wrap as an AU when you start logic

Yes, you should never use snares in Dubstep.

after seeing all these sick plugins I was like, "Hell yea I want these asap!" and then I thought for a second that there's no way these have AU versions as well since apparently that's how it has to be with most awesome VSTs :corncry:

Which only works for some plugins, and by some I mean very few. Its hacky, and not worth bothering with. AU is actually a better format than VST, so a mac user using a VST makes no sense.
