Just gonna set it strait. I had 2 laptops and both of my hard drives stolen out of my hotel in Milan Italy last month. On those laptops and drives were all the project files of Skrillex. All gone now. Also I had a new album that is now gone too. I spent a week pulling my hair out but now im just focussing on the future and re making my album.

kinda feel bad for him but this is a lesson to learn, dont keep your most valuable files on a laptop that you are taking around the world without any sort of backup

It was on 2 laptops and 2 hard drives that all got stolen. Now saying that don't keep all your backups in one place, and chuck on of those hard drives in the damn safe and upload project files to a secure online back up service.

Irregardless of his music it is an extremely shit story, whatever it is about laptops failing and losing your work that way; That's your duty to back it up etc but getting it all stolen and knowing that it's still out there is just hateful.

if it's not backed up in two different, physical/geographic locations, it's not backed up

but man he had it backed up on five different USB drives that were in his backpack!

i always keep a usb drive with all my back ups stuck up my arse in case im ever imprisoned, i imagine skrillex done the same but it kept getting in the way of his 'lifestyle' if you catch my drift.
