...and the thing is, Uday and Qusay weren't even household names in the way that Osama has become a fixture in the American mindset. Yet the government still provided the media with pics of their corpses, as if to satiate the masses with "proof" of our progress in the middle east.
It's REALLY, REALLY strange that they would treat his death like this and not even let the public get one picture.

This sea burial is totally widgety whack. Trying to play nice with the islamic world? Like we'll kill you, but bury you properly? Maybe make nice with his family? That I can see more. Look at the way his family was treated immediately after 9/11.
But still, put me on that conspiracy roster, I don't buy this burial at sea.

saudi arabia denied burial rights. by islamic right the body has to be buried within 24hrs of death. they also know that any sort of burial on land, would get ransacked or pillaged, as you say, people need a finality. last night they said that photos and video were taken. i don't know if they'll show the burial at sea, but they'll definitely show a final photo. remember that the final video of sadaam didn't come out immediately.

how much will oil/gasoline/petrol prices increase because of this?
Shit always happens right before the summer.

lol @ this
When you violate UN resolutions (specifically 1373 and the branching resolution) your country loses it's jurisdiction if it impedes another in accordance.
The ease at which the US could prove pakistan violate 1373 would be overwhelming.

sorry for posting a link about islamic burial rites, I know it potentially contradicts your lefty pop politics conspiracy bullshit.
discussions are so much better when everyone agrees.
