Neeeeeed this tune though, anyone up for raiding Coki's computer with me?bribkin wrote:yeah now it's a 'whe dem a do' remix no doubt. massive tune. excited every1 is feeling mavado's vocals so much then good 2 know it ain't just me.... woooooeee mavado and coki together, BLEEEEEURGH!!!

its 5 or 6 tunes that you say are rehashed, most of which are classics, and the sound is related only, not the same.
imo, these objections just seem as petty as when that muppet was moaning about skream using a preset. get a grip...
Him coming up with the concept himself or the tunes being "classics" is irrelevant to my point. The fact remains that he has been following this successful formula for several releases now. I just want to see him release some of the different tunes that I know he's capable of doing (see Officer/Mood Dub). That's a slightly different issue than using a preset or other sounds that have been used by others already.
not really feeling the latest coki releases either, for the same reasons.
I do love his Richie Spice remix tho'!

this argument's been on here b4 and if u listen to the track we're talkin about seems like Coki is tryin out new things so i dont get this negative shit. plus anyone who heard the Coki tune oneman played on ReactFM on sunday night will know he's doing stuff that is utterly unlike anything he's done b4 so blah whatevs.
U's shld remember how long the gap between creation and release is and given that 'all of a sudden' - which is the release that gave rise to these complaints - was only relatively recently put out, he's only had a fairly short time to think about any criticism.
Further, like the rest of us he has a lot on his plate is a busy busy guy.
AND finally being creative isn't the kind of thing you can force, it happens in starts and spurts, as anyone who's ever tried to do anything creative knows. I think he deserves bare big ups and credit for lookin in new directions so quickly.

but my point is, its about 4 or 5 tunes. so fucking what if theyre built the same way. cant a man play around with a style? and the fact that theyre classics is relevant. if people want to drop one of these style coki tunes in a set, and so does next man thats on that night, it means we dont have to keep hearing all of a sudden all night long dont it.Sand Leaper wrote:Um, the basslines in those two tune pairs are nearly identical, both in terms of progression and notes. you mention the other tunes hes done that are tottally different, so whats your point if you know he can make different stuff? just that you want to moan about somones output when its pointless cos we all know what the guys capable of.
