what is going to make them click?
thats just it... they dont click
they are busy doing important shit like sitting online watching videos of people tickeling penguins,
no time for passionate artists.

i think what people are saying is, dont put all your eggs in one basket. if you make music your sole income then inevitably at some point you will have to do some major compromising. and then you wont be making music for yourself anymore.

i am totally fine with engineering a project, producing, composing, and seeing as how i like ALL types of music, from flamenco to pop i dont see anything as a compromise.

is that so hard to believe?
i want to make money doing this shit, hence the name make me rich.
therefore i need attention to hear opinions of others so my music becomes more professional and palatable.

i'm confused because doing it for yourself and your enjoyment is in direct contradiction with wanting to make money from doing it
Noit'snot.Whatif you like money?
Andwhat'swrong with getting something you love?Without that, the ideaof, adreamjob wouldn't exist.

I'm gonna go with take crap into your hand and eat it on youtube.

====

Good tracks get noticed.

If you're not getting noticed, people don't think you're good. Doesn't mean that you aren't good, just means they don't think your good, and they're not going to give any money. Not too much of a problem if you are doing it for yourself. Just not going to make that moo.

And they can't make you good. You make yourself good.

Listen to a good track, listen to yours. Are they of the same quality? In terms of production and music? Is your track original and inventive, but easily accessible? If you can't tell the difference, you will either get noticed or need to improve your listening skills.
