Re: ZOMBY
Yeah I'm not feeling that tune either. Instrumental would be big, but those vocals are gash
Re: ZOMBY
I'm feeling the tune, but am I the only person that prefers Zomby's less bleepy stuff. Those tracks with a kind of jungley feel to them that were posted recently were sick! Would be nice to see him go more down that route, not that it's anything to do with me before anyone suggests.

Re: ZOMBY
Quite surprised he's still on a One Foot era bleepy tip...I was under the impression he was the kinda guy to experiment with sounds, release something based around that sound, then move on.....Hence the Natalias Song being in a new direction...
Not a diss really...Coz I love it all...just a thought.

He made 'Natalia's Song' in 08. Presumably, it's from the same batch of tunes as 'Test me for a Reason'.herbalicious wrote:Quite surprised he's still on a One Foot era bleepy tip...I was under the impression he was the kinda guy to experiment with sounds, release something based around that sound, then move on.....Hence the Natalias Song being in a new direction...

This is one of my favourites of the more recent material.

"This record is a dedication to someone much loved and missed." - Zomby
Having recently signed a worldwide deal with 4AD, July 11th / 12th (US) marks the release of Dedication, the debut album for the label from Zomby.
One of the most talented producers of a generation, he has also proved to be one of the most elusive. In the last five years, Zomby has consistently surprised with releases that switched from the melancholic to the menacing, showing him able to turn his hand to almost anything. These qualities were demonstrated on his 2008 debut, Where Were U In ‘92?; a rave record evoking that titular period that helped to further cement his reputation as an unpredictable, underground hero.
Anticipation for new Zomby material is high, but outside of a few out-takes on the internet, there hasn’t been much to feed off in recent times. That was until the end of last year when the hauntingly beautiful track, 'Natalia's Song', appeared unannounced in a Burial and Kode9 mix for Radio 1. Catching people off-guard, it marked the end of his hiatus with some style and the beginning of the next chapter in his career.
'Natalia's Song' is being released this Monday as a limited and etched one-sided 10". It's also serves as a perfect introduction to Dedication, a dark and absorbing listen.
Pre-order Natalia's Song 10" - Rough Trade (other retailers forthcoming).
Also taken from the new album is 'Things Fall Apart', which you can now listen to below. The MP3 is available to download from Pitchfork here.

That new tune you posted is what I expected...Same distinctive Zomby sound...but with a new soundscape....and incredible.

Panda's vocals ruin 'Things Fall Apart'.

I really hope that the album does have a dark edge to it, Natalia's Song sent sheer shivers down my spine when I first heard it.
