Compared to A&H, the Pioneer sound quality is shit.

However, for the amount you're spending vs. what you're getting in terms of features/effects/ease of use, unless you're a real audiophile I personally don't see any problem with the DJM series.

yeah thats what i was thinking. its only gonna be used for bedroom use and the occasional party anyway.

im sure i heard somewhere that the EQ's cant completely kill the frequency?
not sure if that was the behringer ripoff they was talking about though

They don't, but tbh unless you're paying for true three/four band isolation, a lot of mixers won't be completely killing the freq anyhow.

Stay the hell away from the Behringers. Seriously.

Recommend A&H. I got an Xone:22 and love it. Perfect for home use.

Doesn't have an abundance of features but works perfectly and is a load of fun. Can get brand new for £250.

Ah. Fair enough, definitely go with A&H anyways. Worth spending that wee bit extra.

decided on an Ecler when i found out the A&H are made in china now, and lots of people are having humming/hissing issues.

if you don't need effects, i'd strongly recommend the ecler. i've never had a mixer sound this amazing. the knobs are huge and super ergonomic and the eqs act as complete kills. it's kinda pricey for even the basic 2 channel but an amazing piece of equipment for sure.

Pioneer mixers are shit IMO, A&H are good - but I don't trust the build quality!

put it this way - pioneer djm800 = the most fun mixer ever.

Ecler's are average - faders bounce real bad, knobs take two hands to twist.
allen & heath are dope but it takes a while to get used to the cueing system - using the knobs up the top is the only way i could do it properly

if i wasn't buying a new mixer i'd be very tempted to mod my channel faders on my 42
