Re: FILTH COLLINS REMIX COMP
I actually really liked this track up until around 1:10, but then your mid-bass gets kind of repetitive. My suggestion would just be to resample your synth to audio, then change up a couple of things like lets say, change the filter type and put attach an LFO to something, resample and such and such. Just change it up a bit more or you get tired of listening to the same tune over and over.

i like the repetition myself, it's hypnotic

I do like the track you have in your sig, I can definitly see what your going for there! When your'e dealing with the more distorted basslines though it sounds better to change it up more often. Intro was great and i liked how you dropped it, which kept momentum going for a little bit, so switching to differant sounding(same melody though) basslines keeps that going.davwuh wrote:i like the repetition myself, it's hypnotic

Re: FILTH COLLINS REMIX COMP
i have live 8, never mucked around with 7 i haven't been producing terribly long. resampling is just switching from midi to audio. Change the midi out from master to a seperate audio track, switch the monitor to In and record. Quite simple actually. I'm not sure if the process is the exact same on 7 but im pretty sure its possible. Helps to be in the sesh view.

right on brotha, i wish you luck with your adventures. Experimentation is the best way to learn! Cheers!!
Re: FILTH COLLINS REMIX COMP
That mid bass is pretty gross, but I have ADD bad enough to require the crazy constant change more than the hypnotic side of my dubstep, the only song that is even remotely hypnotic in repetition that I can say off the top of my head that I like is Antiserum - Animal. Good though.
